What is IHG Academy?

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has 9 different brands with over 674,000 rooms in over 4,600 hotels worldwide, making it one of the largest hotel companies in the world. The IHG Academy was created to provide local people with skills development and employment opportunities. Each IHG Academy is tailored to meet the needs of local communities and hotels.

• The IHG Academy program operates in partnership with FEI and Ivy Tech Community College.
• The IHG Academy program includes a work experience placement, giving participants skills and real experience of working in a hotel.
• The IHG Academy program includes performance feedback and a recruitment discussion, giving participants an opportunity to gain real experience of the job interview process, improving their chances of finding a job in the hotel sector and in many cases, secure a job in an IHG hotel.

• Over 10,000 participants worldwide have benefitted from the IHG Academy program.
• People who go through our IHG Academy program come from all walks of life and range from university graduates through to disadvantaged young people reflecting the range of careers as well as opportunity for progression available at IHG.
• The program works with local communities to benefit people who may find it harder to find employment such as war veterans, homeless people or those living with a disability.
